Notable equipment and resources:

60 taels: Sword-Pistols (16 taels): This matched katana and wakizashi have been a Hideyoshi family heirloom for centuries, ever since his great-great-great-great-great-grandfather stole them off a dead samurai. They have been passed down from father to son for generations, making them a prized possession of the Hideyoshi family line. When his wife offered to take them apart and build a pair of revolvers into the hilts, Tetsuo could not think of a single reason to stop her.

Airship: A small, highspeed vessel, the Kurokaze is an ideal ship for pillaging the Himalayan trade routes. It contains modest and poorly kept living quarters, and much of it's crew sleeps aboard the ship even when at port. Tetsuo stole this airship with the aid of his lovely wife, Tashi. They are still in dispute over which of them actually owns it.

Crew of Miscreants: Tetsuo has about nine hooligans who follow him about, drawn from every quarter of the globe. Most of them are lazy, drunken, thieving good-for-nothings, much like Tetsuo himself.

Autocycle: Can you believe people just leave these lying around with the keys in the ignition? Some unscrupulous fellow might steal one.

Smoke Bombs (750 cash): What good is a master thief without smoke bombs? Tetsuo usually keeps five or so of these on his person for when he needs to make a sudden exit. Which is often.

Grappling Hook (1 tael): Tetsuo typically keeps a lightweight folding grapnel on a fifteen foot silk cord, usually wrapped around his waist under his jacket. Sometimes he uses it for spur-of-the-moment burglaries. Other times, as an improvised weapon. Sometimes both.

Kama:(4 taels) If there's one thing a pirate can never have too many of, it's knives. Tetsuo keeps a pair of collapsing Okinawana fighting sickles tucked up his sleeves or in his boots, where they fold down to less than five inches in length. When deployed, they make an excellent backup weapon, and double as climbing picks for when he finds himself being hurled through the sky at the side of an airship.

Life savings: Tetsuo doesn't so much have "money" as he has "gambling debts." But whatever, money just like, comes and goes, man.

Talents: 8

Sword and Cannon Strike Together!

Requirements: Melee 1

When wielding a sword pistol, bayonet, or other combined melee/sharpshooting weapon, you may make a combined attack, shooting your foe from point blank range. Spend a point of Breath, and attack as normal with the Melee skill; if successful, add the damage of your firearm to the damage roll for your weapon.

Rain of a Thousand Arrows!

Requirements: Sharpshooting 4

You can take aim and fire at multiple targets simaltaneously. By spending a point of Breath, you may make two simaltaneous ranged attacks when wielding two single-handed ranged weapons.

Whirwind of a Thousand Cuts!

Requirements: Melee 4

You can engage multiple foes at swordplay simaltaneously. By spending a point of Breath, you may make two simaltaneous Melee attacks when wielding a weapon in each hand.
*Note: This may be combined with Melee Shot, which will require a total of three points of Breath.

Fisherman Casts the Net

! Requirements: Melee: 2

You can bind foes limbs with flexible weapons. When using a flexible weapon such as a rope dart or chain whip, you may attempt to trip, disarm, pin, or strangle (as per the Chokehold talent) with an opposed Melee check in place of dealing damage, just as you would with a Hand to Hand attack.

Mantis Strikes from Shadows!

Requirements: Stealth 1

You can take foes unawares with deadly sneak attacks. When sneaking up on and attacking a foe, make a stealth check opposed to their Awareness; every success you make over theirs is subtracted from their evasion pool (Thus, if you get six success and your opponent get's four, they suffer -2 to their evasion).

Untrained: No. Normally, a target still uses his full evasion pool from sneak attacks.

Leopard Runs Through Grass!

Requirements: Stealth: 2

You can run without making a sound! You may make Stealth checks while making Acrobatics and Athletics checks. Allowing you to run, climb, and otherwise change position on the battlefield while staying hidden.

Untrained; Normally, running and climbing require one to break cover.

Sparrow Evades the Hunter!

Requirements: Acrobatics 4

You can move with such speed and unpredictability that foes simply cannot target you. So long as you are capable of moving each round, you may use your Acrobatics in place of Evasion to defend against attacks.

Leadership!

For some reason, people follow you around. Choose either Bravado, Diplomacy, or Deception; for every total point in this skill, you have one faceless lackey. Tetsuo has managed to convince nine miscreants that he is worth following around, and that he will someday pay them.

Biography:

Tetsuo is a damned, dirty pirate from a long and proud line of damned, dirty pirates. His ancestors have been pillaging the sea of Japan since the 13th century, and he's pretty sure that for him to forsake the family trade would be a breach of filial piety. So at least he has that going for him.

And while most of his ancestors sailed the seas, Tetsuo lives in a time of much change, where fewer and fewer vessels sail the wide ocean, and more and more fly across the open sky. Tetsuo and his ship have made their riches targetting the trans-himmalayan skyways that connect the Chinese and Indian markets.

In his youth, he flew alongside his father, "Deathbringer from the Sky" Akira Hideyoshi. One day, however, Hideyoshi's vessel was lured into an ambush by British ships over the mountains of Tibet. The pirates were shot down, their ship crashing into side of a mountain. He survived the crash only by the grace of the ship's pilot, his lover Tashi.

Tetsuo awoke to find himself being nursed back to health by a Tibetan monk, who, as it turned out, was Tashi's own brother. The monk encouraged him to get back in the piracy game, even going so far as to help him steal a ship of his own. To this day, Tetsuo has absolutely no suspicions that the monk might've had ulterior motives.

Appearance: Tetsuo is a handsome and dashing rogue, with long hair and an easy grin. He usually dresses in modified Japanese style clothing, in all black, with hakama tucked into tall buckled boots.

Personality: Philosophers and mathematicians are still struggling to account for the full sum of Tetsuo Hideyoshi's moral failings. He's a drunken, lazy, greedy, selfish, disrespectful, murderous, lecherous, son-of-a-bitch that seems to have been brought into the world just to make Confucious cry. He is a constant womanizer, and marriage has, if anything, accelerated his attempts to sleep with every attractive women -and most of the attractive men- he meets. Fortunately, his wife is much the same way, and they have a mutual understanding regarding extramarital affairs. He steals and robs out of habit, and is quick to start a fight with anyone who seems worth starting a fight with. In spite of all this, he fancies himself quite a hero; he is incredibly reckless, easily mistaking what is only a bad idea for a chance to prove himself.

Playstyle: Tetsuo is a sneaky bastard, highly skilled in stealth, as well as combat and subterfuge. Even in social and martial encounters he tends to be stealthy and duplicitous, preferring to lie rather than speak the truth, and stab opponent's in the back rather than face to face.
